About this cartoon: A 1960s song, "Abraham, Martin and John" spoke of the humanity and compassion of assassinated leaders. The successor to John (Kennedy), Lyndon Johnson, actually accomplished a great deal in terms of civil rights, voting right, healthcare reform and trying to combat poverty... all things that today's Republicans, now under a new House Speaker, Paul Ryan, seem intent on undoing.
